NAIROBI, Kenya Dec 13 – Three brothers of the late Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang’ were involved in a road accident in Narok this morning while headed for nominations in the county.

Those involved in the accident include Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang’, his brother Moses who is vying for the vacant post and their elder brother Joe Okoto.

The aspirant has told Capital News beat that they were headed to Homa Bay for ODM nominations when their vehicle lost control and rolled several times in Narok.

They all escaped unhurt and proceeded with their journey after undergoing checkups at the Tenwek Mission Hospital. “We are not visibly hurt,” Moses told our Kisumu Correspondent in a short text message.

The seat was left vacant last month, following the death of their brother Otieno Kajwang’ who succumbed to a heart attack.

Others who have declared interest in the February 2, 2015 by election are former NSSF Managing Trustee Fred Rabongo, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Chief of Staff Caroli Omondi, Silas Jakakimba and Philip Okundi.

CORD leader Raila Odinga, who had been urged to vie for the seat by Luo elders and a section of MPs and Senators, declined the offer saying he is focused on capturing the presidency in 2017.
