The three were picked up from a restaurant near City Hall as they received the bribe from the contractor.
“They are in police custody awaiting to be arraigned in court tomorrow (Friday) morning,” EACC Spokesman Yassin Amaro told Capital FM News on telephone, soon after the Members of County Assembly were picked up.
“They were receiving a bribe which will be used as evidence in court,” he said.
According to Amaro, the MCAs had demanded Sh400,000 from the contractor who offered Sh280,000.
“They were arrested while receiving the money,” he said.
The EACC has lately intensified the war on corruption in the counties, following corruption complaints.
EACC Chairman Mumo Matemu has warned that no one will be spared in the war against corruption in all sectors.
