NAIROBI, July 6 – Kenya has been hit by a series of deadly attacks since sending its military to fight the Islamist group Shabaab in southern Somalia in 2011.

In neighbouring Kenya, a number of shootings and bombings have been blamed on the Al-Qaeda-linked rebels or their local supporters.
