Time to modernise Kenya’s forensics – CJ, Tobiko

“For my part, while crime in its all forms and manifestations must be fought, this has to be done within the framework of the Constitution and in accordance with the law,” he explained.

In recognition of rising cases of insecurity in the country, Tobiko urged for coordination among the Governance, Justice, Law and Order Sector (GJLOS).

According to him, the war on crimes will continue being a challenge if the justice organs fail to work together in collection of evidence, investigations, prosecution and other justice processes.

“Further, the fight against serious crime has been impaired by the lack of effective collaboration within our Criminal Justice System. Our Governance, Justice, Law and Order Sector (GJLOS) agencies, operate in silos and often times at cross-purposes,” he explained.
