By 8:30pm on Thursday, 848 polling stations out of 942 had filed their results with Ford Kenya candidate Moses Wetangula significantly stretching the gap between him and his competitors with 134,630 votes.
New Ford Kenya candidate Musikari Kombo was still in second place with 70,850 votes while independent candidate David Makali came a distant third with 1,865 votes followed by Labour Party of Kenya candidate Bifwoli Wakoli with 1,670 votes.
By 8:25pm, 833 polling stations had filed their results and Wetangula had 132,048 votes ahead of Kombo with 69,119 votes.
Makali came a distant third with 1,833 votes followed by Wakoli with 1,637 votes.
By 8:20pm, 821 polling stations had filed their results and Wetangula was still leading with 129,614 votes.
Kombo had secured 67,908 votes while Makali and Wakoli had 1,795 votes and 1,613 votes respectively.
By 8:15pm, 802 polling stations had filed their results giving Wetangula 126,213 votes followed by Kombo in second place with 66,116 votes.
Makali came a distant third with 1,737 votes followed by Wakoli with 1,574 votes.
By 8:10pm, 780 polling stations had filed their results with Wetangula garnering 122,005 votes against Kombo’s 64,163 votes.
Makali came a distant third with 1,675 votes followed by Wakoli with 1,532 votes.
By 8:05pm, 762 polling stations had filed their results giving Wetangula 117,868 votes.
Kombo was second with 62,590 votes while Makali came third with 1,642 votes followed by Wakoli’s 1,505 votes.
By 8:00pm, 747 polling stations had filed their results and Wetangula was still in the lead with 115,106 votes.
Kombo came second with 60,948 votes followed by Makali with 1,597 votes and Wakoli with 1,459 votes.
By 7:55pm, 724 polling stations had reported their results giving Wetangula the win with 111,386 votes followed by Kombo in second place with 58,822 votes.
