NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 5 – Former NHIF boss Richard Kerich has been arraigned in court on fresh corruption charges over the controversial health scheme involving Clinix Healthcare.

Kerich was charged in court alongside a former manager David Chingi but they did not plead to the charges because their three co-accused persons were not in court.

They are charged alongside Chacha Marwa, Toddy Madihani and Antony Chako who were however not in court.

The court has ordered that they be presented on Wednesday next week to answer to the charges.

In the initial court appearance, Kerich and three other former NHIF officials who are out on bond were charged over a Sh116 million scandal which led to their suspension.
