The suspects were denied bail and have been remanded at the Kilimani Police Station for the next seven days for further investigations/CFM
The four, Mohammed Ahmed Abdi, Liban Abdullah Omar, Adan Dheq and Hussein Hassan Mustafah were accused of carrying out the attack jointly with others not before the court.
The attack at the mall left 61 civilians and six security officers dead.
Abdi, Mustafah and Omar were separately accused of knowingly supporting Mohammed Abdinur Said, Hassan Dhohullow and others in committing the terrorist act.
Dheq was further accused of harbouring terror suspects, obtaining registration by false pretences and being in the country illegally.
According to the prosecution, Dheq falsely obtained registration as a Kenyan citizen was issued with an identity card.
The suspects – who were not represented -denied the charges before acting Nairobi Chief Magistrate Dolphine Okundi and were remanded at Kilimani police station for seven days as police continue with further investigations.
They will be taken back to court on November 11 when their application for bail will be argued.
