Oduol who had successfully challenged Rasanga’s March election in court threw in the towel after preliminary results showed that the Governor-elect whipped him by over 60 percent of votes cast.
“I unreservedly support the Governor-elect and promise to work with him. At the end of the day, Siaya is bigger than all of us. And we will work with him,” Oduol said.
“We are grateful for the goodwill we received from Siaya County.”
At the time Oduol conceded defeat, Rasanga was leading with 106,180 votes to his 62,641 votes.
