I was forced to implicate Barasa in bribery

In the latest affidavit, he made it clear that he will not testify against Barasa over allegations made by the prosecution that he is one of the witnesses who Barasa tampered with.

“ICC investigation coerced me to sign statements implicating Mr Barasa on the pain of being arrested and charged jointly with him. I want nothing to do with the ICC and its compromised and oppressive justice system. I cannot be a witness of ICC against Mr Barasa who has been my friend and actually got involved with ICC upon my request to give ICC investigators information in his possession,” the witness countered.

The ICC issued a warrant of arrest against Barasa after the prosecution alleged that he had bribed Witnesses P0536 and P0336 who had denounced the allegation.

The prosecution alleged that Barasa offered them between Sh1 million and Sh1.5 million so that they could pull out as witnesses in the case against Deputy President William Ruto.

Barasa was also said to have planned a meeting where he was to bribe P0256.
