Nine-year-old Pramsu Jain had gone shopping with his mother and sister when the gun totting terrorists struck and cut his young life short.
Young Pramsu’s family had only relocated to Kenya from India two months ago. He had not even made friends in his new school.
Pavraj Singh Ghataurhae was killed while trying to protect his grandmother from the monstrous attackers.
Unfortunately, his grandmother did not survive.
The other Oshwal student whose life was cut short by the terrorists is Neha Manish Mashru, a bright student, a school prefect and a finalist in the cooking competition that was being held at the Mall.
Neha was cremated on Tuesday, September 24 while Pavraj will be cremated on Wednesday, September 25 at the Kariakor Crematorium. Pramsu will be cremated in India.
“As a school we will always remember them. I don’t know how to close their school files. Too bad an incident; I can’t speak any more,” said the distressed Oshwal Junior High Head of School Geetika Saxena.
At the start of the interview, Saxena had told Capital FM News that Young Pramsu was a year three pupil at the Oshwal primary campus.
His family moved to Kenya, from India, when his father was posted to the country on official duty. He got caught up in the Westgate misfortune while shopping with his mother and sister who both suffered gun shots.
The family has since moved back to India.
“He was a sweet boy, very naughty and hyper active and he was there with his mother and sister but they have lost this boy. He was admitted to year three. The sister got shot on the leg and the mother was shot on her hand,” said Saxena.
Pavraj was among the best hockey players at the school and had gone to the mall to cheer his friend Neha at the cooking competition.

He will be remembered for his courage and loyalty to family even in death.
“He got a bullet in his stomach but he was trying to save his grandmother who could not run. All his cousins and friends kept shouting at him to run but Pavraj refused and stayed with his grand mom. Both of them are no more,” explained Saxena.
