The father of two also notes that, “Tsavo ecosystem in 1979 could accommodate 45,000 elephant but today it only has 11,600.”
He challenges the government to put more stiff penalties on the poachers and reduce human wildlife conflict.
Through his continued efforts, he says he has been able to provoke the government and other stakeholders to act on the menace saying the future is bright.
He also called on the East African Countries to join hands against the vice while expressing optimism that they can win the fight. “We can only win the battle if we unite.”
