NAIROBI,Kenya, May 18 – President Uhuru Kenyatta has asked Kenyans to shun petty differences and unite in developing the country.

Addressing residents in Nyeri County Kenyatta said that his government is working on uniting all Kenyans to build the nation and shun hatred.

This comes as the insecurity in the country is increasing with an alarming rate in different parts of the country.

“My government is keen in on bringing Kenyans together, as I promised, it will be an inclusive government, thus there should not be any hatred among you,” he said.

Kenyatta said that his government is keen on keeping the promises it made to Kenyans during elections to the letter.

“If we do not maintain peace the work we have ahead of us of building our beloved country will be halted,” he explained.

Kenyatta insisted that he will work for all Kenya without any discrimination.

“The elections are now over and Kenyans should now work together towards the realization of national development goals.

The Head of State was speaking when he made a stopover at Chaka trading centre to acknowledge greetings from area residents at the start of his three day official visit to Nyeri County.

Kenyatta assured that his Government will give priority to youth empowerment as pledged in the Jubilee manifesto.

In the recent past Bungoma county has suffered alarming attacks by unknown gangs.

On Thursday Kenyatta summoned the top 70 security chiefs in he country asking them to do whatever it takes to eradicate crime in the country.
