The party has now indicated that it will appeal to the Orange Democratic Movement – a partner in the Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) – to implore upon one of their legislators to step down for Musyoka.
The stand followed a meeting by Wiper Senators and Members of Parliament on Thursday that failed to agree on who will step-down for Musyoka, who was Raila Odinga’s running mate in the March 4 polls.
This was the second such meeting after another on Tuesday which intensified talks to prepare the way for his return to Parliament.
Pressure has been mounting for lawmakers in the Wiper Democratic Movement to step down for the former vice-president to make a comeback to Parliament.

According to the plan, Musyoka is to assume the position of Leader of Minority Party in the National Assembly once back in Parliament.
During a two-day retreat in Naivasha earlier in the week, the CORD members agreed to constitute a six-member committee to deliberate Musyoka’s comeback.
The strategy was to have an MP from a CORD stronghold resign and Musyoka would then be nominated to contest in the subsequent by-election, which it is presumed he would easily win.
ODM members have already indicated a constituency from Nyanza could be set aside, hence probably the reason the Wiper party is engaging them.
On Wednesday Friends of Raila (FORA) also wanted legislators in Parliament and the Senate to explore ways for former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to get back to Parliament.
The members said they were worried that without Odinga in Parliament, the implementation of the Constitution will not take place.
Odinga is however on record stating he will play his politics from outside the National Assembly and Senate.
