All the suspects however denied the charges when they were read out to them.
Some are accused of robbery with violence while others face destruction of property charges.
Police chose to transfer the suspects to Maseno from Kisumu fearing CORD supporters would jam the courts to show solidarity with those arrested.

Fourteen of those arrested are from Kondele and were caught with looted property while the rest were found breaking into people’s premises and homes within estates in Kisumu.
The magistrate released the suspects on surety bonds of between Sh100,000 to Sh1million.
The cases will be heard on different dates beginning next week.
On Monday, Nyanza police boss Joseph ole Tito announced that they had 23 suspects under custody following the mayhem.
Two of the suspects were not arraigned in court as investigations into their cases had not been completed and may be charged in the same court soon.
Tito further disclosed that they are closing on more suspects and appealed to locals to volunteer information to the police on those who stole property.
