NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 16- Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s former advisor Miguna Miguna has unveiled yet another explosive book titled ‘Kidney’s for the King’ which paints a gloomy picture of most Kenyan leaders, particularly his former boss.

In the book launched on Saturday afternoon, Miguna largely focuses on the CORD Presidential candidate and his cronies, questioning their leadership qualities.

Miguna claims that Raila is not a man of his words and links him to several corruption scandals in which he is alleged to have participated.

“Most people expected me either to partake in the corruption and other transgressions or to shut up and my refusal to do either disappoints them, particularly Mr Odinga,” says Miguna in the second chapter of his 369-page book published by Integrity Books.

During the launch of his book, Miguna openly endorsed Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta’s bid for the presidency, arguing that he would help Kenya achieve the reforms it had been yearning for.

“Because we only have two horses and my previous horse is a blind one. Raila Odinga is blind, he cannot take us through the desert and we are facing a storm. Are we going to ride a blind horse into oblivion or we are going to take a horse that will take us through,” he posed.

On this basis, he said, “I can say without equivocation that I am going to back Uhuru in this campaign.”

He also took a swipe at the international community for positions taken recently against a possible victory of Kenyatta and his running mate William Ruto because of the ICC cases.

Miguna argued that issuing economic and political sanctions against Kenya were retrogressive and would have a ripple effect on the entire East African region.

“It might be naïve to think that Kenya is a banana republic. I think they could do some of the things they are threatening to do but it might not be as calamitous as some of us have projected it to be,” he said.

“But I don’t know. I am not Makau Mutua, who sits in New York and plays around with his crystal ball because I don’t have any,” he retorted.

Miguna claims in his book that some of the planned consequences from the West include moving the United Nations offices from Nairobi among others.

“I have held meetings with former diplomats and they have told me that it is possible. That they could cancel trade ties or close down the UNEP. But they are not saying that they will cut diplomatic ties,” he explained.

The book which is the second after the controversial ‘Peeling Back The Mask’ also delves into the politics in government including events surrounding the sensitive ICC matter and other possible high level perpetrators.

Really quite sad.So he becomes a lawyer in Canada, kisses Odingas butt to get on the campaign team and gets his reward by getting a post. Then becomes disillusioned and believes tht since he is a mzunguna he operates to different standards and perceptions. His book is littered with the superiority of the west, still kissing ass.Without Odinga you would be a simple lawyer in canada like all the other millions.Shuffle off our screens, and leave that superiority that you display about being an expat kenyan.

I supported Miguna Miguna’s first book believing that he was sincere. However, this time round, he has miserably failed. Infact, one is shocked by his obvious bitterness! He is so naive to the point of poking holes in the book before it even gets to bookstands! By stating that his wish was to have PM Raila supposedly thoroughfully beaten by Uhuru, an ICC criminal suspect, his credibility simply flew through the window never ever to return!! Taking issues with somebody is totally different from being overwhelmed and arrested by empty malice! Mguna Miguna has indeed reduced himself to irredeemable character whose words will never ever be taken seriously again!!!!

We cannot blame Miguna 100% for being obsessed with Raila ‘negatively’, this is a result of terrible betrial Miguna is finding in Hon Raila. Miguna is not only finding a personal but their entire Luo Community hence fanatical negative portrayal of his former boss. This may not be the end, other members of the tribe might come up with different type of damages to Raila. The community may question their being driven to near black out by consecutive governments because of the brand of Raila’s politics. Lets hope they will restrain themselves.
