NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 1 – Stanley ‘moneybags’ Livondo has now been cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to vie for the Nairobi Senate seat in the March 4 general election.

Livondo who will run on a United Democratic Forum (UDF) ticket promised to improve security of city residents and develop their living standards.

He further pledged to create employment opportunities for the youth in Nairobi if elected.

Other candidates seeking to be cleared on Friday were Maina Njenga through the Mkenya Solidarity Party who will be seeking a senatorial post, Esther Passaris who wants to be a county women’s representative on a Kenya National Congress ticket and Jimnah Mbaru (Alliance Party of Kenya) who is seeking election as Nairobi Governor.
