NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 7 – Former Turkana South MP Francis Ewaton shot himself dead after killing his wife at their rural home in Lokichar.
Police said the former legislator’s body was discovered in his house by neighbours.
Rift Valley head of the Criminal Investigations Department chief Samuel Nyabengi said both bodies had bullet wounds.
He confirmed that the former lawmaker was a licensed firearm holder.
Ewaton held the Turkana South seat from 1992 to 2007 when he lost it to the current MP Josephat Nanok.
Police said they were yet to know the motive of the killings.
