A committee arranging their funerals headed by Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka said a service to honour Ojode will take place on Thursday from 8am at the Seventh Day Adventist Central Church.

Saitoti’s memorial service will be held at the Holy Family Basilica on Friday afternoon.

“Saitoti will be buried in his Kitengela farm on Saturday while Ojode will be buried on Sunday in his Ndhiwa home,” added Musyoka.

Captain Nancy Gituanja, her co-pilot Luke Oyugi, Sergeant Thomas Murimi and Inspector Joshua Tonkei who were bodyguards to the late George Saitoti will be buried next week.

The six passengers died in a helicopter crash on Sunday at Kibiku forest within Ngong’ on their way to Homa Bay for a fundraising event.

The government has set an inquiry into the cause of the crash headed by Appeal Judge Kalpana Rawal, who will be assisted by Air Force Commander Major General Harold Tangai, Charles Mutinda, George McOwenga and Faith Irari.

Transport Minister Amos Kimunya said they will be constituted as a court and all stakeholders will appear and the families will be represented before members of the public are invited to come and express their views on the crash.
