Rescuers search for trapped persons in Wuhan during a previous collapse/XINHUA
WUHAN, Mar 27 – At least 20 people were injured, including three people severely injured, after a blast toppled a biopharmaceutical plant in Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei province, on Tuesday afternoon.
A reaction kettle exploded from excessive pressure at around 1pm, causing a workshop to collapse at the Luyuan Biological Product Plant, firefighters said.
It was not yet known whether anyone was killed in the blast or in the collapse.
Firefighters were rushing to pull people out of the debris.
