NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 27 – A 23 year old woman is pleading with members of the public who may have seen her missing daughter to relay the information to Capital FM or the police.
Susan Wamaitha says her one-year old daughter was picked up from her house in Zimmerman by the father on Tuesday and both of them have not been seen since.
“He usually picks her up and stays with her for a few hours but on this day, they did not return,” she said amid sobs.
She said Marissa Adhiambo aka Sunshine usually spends a few hours with her father every week.
“She was still breastfeeding and I am distraught about her welfare,” she said.
Ms Wamaitha has since reported the matter to the Kasarani Police Station and the CID department but efforts to trace the little girl and her father have not borne results.
“We went to where he stays and his relatives told us they have not seen him since Tuesday.”
She says the man’s phone has also been switched off since the incident.
