TPF: 21 days to go

NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 24 – With three weeks to go, Kenya’s representatives – Patricia, Ng’ang’a and Debarl, Uganda’s ladies – Maureen, Caroline and Leah, and Rwanda’s Alpha make up the remaining seven contestants in the Tusker Project Fame 3 Academy.

As is the nature of the game, each week, one contestant leaves the Academy, thus ending their road to stardom. The contestants up for possible eviction this week are Alpha (Rwanda), Caroline (Uganda), Debarl (Kenya) and Ng’ang’a (Kenya).

The four failed to impress the judges during last Sunday’s journey across East Africa themed performances.

Debarl lost his key on Nameless’ hit song ‘Deadly’ earning his first ever ticket on the probation bench. Judge Ian stated that Nameless would undoubtedly be crying if he heard how Debarl had massacred his song!

Caroline’s rendition of Lady JayDee’s ‘Siku Hazigandi’ did not pass muster, as far as the judging panel was concerned. Last week, she was saved by her fellow contestants. Will she be lucky again this week?

Alpha’s efforts at Kiddum’s ‘Shamba’ were well received by the crowd but did not save him from a second week on probation. Will the faculty save him again this week as they did last week?

Ng’ang’a’s attempt at a Luganda song – ‘Dorotia’ by Chameleon, was impressive according to judge Julianna, but judge Ian says that putting Ng’ang’a on probation was the best thing he did that night, giving Ng’ang’a a chance to go back home.

You can meet the four contestants as they come out to meet their fans and rally support ahead of Friday night. The four nominees will today host a Meet n Greet session for their fans at Season’s Kimathi Street, from 5pm.

Voting lines are open until midnight, Friday night, and the voting public have a chance to save one contestant who they think should stay in the house.
