, MERU, Kenya, Aug 14 – Police in Meru are investigating the rape and murder of a 25-year-old bar-maid, whose half-naked dead body was later dumped in a church compound within Maua town.
The woman had injuries on the head and punctured eyes where she was discovered by passers-by on Friday morning in a church next to the Kamukunji open grounds in Maua.
Meru North police boss Maurice Kiplagat said that a large stone with blood stains was found beside the body and is thought to be the murder weapon.
