“We will strive to implement pro-wananchi projects because we are committed to addressing the development needs of all Kenyans,” President Kibaki said.

The President was addressing a delegation of leaders from the larger Embu and Mbeere region who met him on Monday at his Harambee House office to discuss the development agenda of their region.

President Kibaki assured the delegation that the region will not be left out in the Government’s wider plan to provide clean water and rehabilitate key roads countrywide.

The Head of State commended the leaders for their unity of purpose and focus in development issues.

Said the Head of State: “I am very pleased that you have put aside political interests and come together in support of the development of your region.”

The leaders thanked President Kibaki and the Government for the development projects implemented in the region so far.
