Multi-platinum and Grammy award-nominated Soul, R&B, Blues and Reggae singer Joss Stone is bringing her ‘Total World Tour’ to Nairobi, Kenya this Saturday, 26th of November.

Stone first started her Total World Tour in September 2014 with an aim to play a concert in all 204 accredited countries in the world.

The singer is expected to arrive in Nairobi on Thursday ahead of her Kenyan debut at Purdy Arms gastro pub.

Songs from Stone’s seventh studio album Water For Your Soul, which was the #1 US Reggae album of the week, are expected to feature at Saturday’s concert.

During her short visit to Kenya, Stone is expected to also bring her unique brand of soulful acoustic blues to local audiences with a visit to the Dance Academy and Destiny Academy in Mathare, an informal settlement in Nairobi.

“My mission is to explore and understand the universal language of music in every country on the planet,” Stone shares on her website.

The Total World Tour is Stone’s most ambitious project to date. Aside from aiming to play a concert in every country, the singer also aims to collaborate with local homegrown musicians, playing indigenous music as well as her own songs. Stone will also work with a variety of good causes and learn about important humanitarian and environmental issues throughout the tour.

After Stone’s stop in Kenya, the singer and her Total World Tour will continue to Tanzania, Malawi, Sudan and Mozambique.
