Exciting news for all food lovers in Nairobi! If you appreciate Japanese cuisine, then a trip to Villa Rosa Kempinski during the upcoming Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) will be a must.
From the August 22 – 29, at the pan-Asian restaurant, 88, diners will be treated to a variety of regional and seasonal dishes from Japan thanks to visiting Chef Koji Tashiro and Chef Kikuchi.
Chef Koji Tashiro, owner and executive chef at Tobiume Restaurant in Kita – Kyushu, Japan, is known to indulge in using modern culinary advances to showcase the traditions and authenticity of Japanese cuisine, producing plates that connect both old and new that results in edible pieces of art. Chef Kikuchi who runs Washoku Izakaya will be bringing the dynamic Japanese pub experience to Nairobi.
The 6th Tokyo International Conference on African Development will be held at Kenyatta International Convention Center in Nairobi, Kenya on 27 – 28 of August, 2016. This will be the first time TICAD will be held in Africa since its inception in 1993.
