Koroga Festival’s ambition to turn Nairobi into a pan-African live-music destination became even more clear at Sunday’s 13th Edition when the sold-out crowd welcomed one of South Africa’s most favourite music groups, Mafikizolo, as the headlining act.

Leading up to the event itself, which was sold-out two weeks prior, the internet was set alight with tickets being snatched-up in record time thanks to the impressive lineup of South Africa’s Mafikizolo, Uhuru and Kenya’s bright star – Dela.

The duo, Theo Kgosinkwe and Nhlanhla Nciza, took the stage  in front of a screaming crowd that had been on their feet for most of the afternoon. The crowd surged forward as finally, the wait was over, and the white satin curtain fell, unveiling the highly anticipated headlining act – Mafikizolo.

Here are some moments that you missed (Photography by Susan Wong)!
