Rob Kardashian has reportedly been diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis, which occurs when the body produces high levels of blood acids, or ketones, TMZ reports.

The reality TV star was admitted to hospital over the weekend where doctors discovered he has the condition, which occurs when the body produces high levels of blood acids, or ketones, TMZ reports.

The website added that a diabetic coma is a danger if the condition is left untreated but Rob has gotten the illness under control and is currently recuperating at home.

And he was told by doctors if he eats well and exercises, he can get his condition under control and potentially into remission.

The diagnosis is said to have shocked the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star and he is now adamant to get healthier in 2016.

Meanwhile, health has been an issue for Rob for a while now and he was reportedly considering a gastric bypass to ditch the pounds quicker.

A source said: “Rob knows that being as large as he is and not being in shape is really unhealthy and not good for his heart. He has looked into having gastric bypass surgery. He has tried to get the weight off before and feels that the surgery would be safest and easiest way for him to do so.

“Food is Rob’s vice right now \\nd he is intent on beating this through whatever is necessary at this point. Rob’s whole problem right now is that he is using food as his substitute to get over his issues.”
