#CarNews: Legendary Ford Mustang launches in Sub-Saharan Africa

The latest Mustang, unveiled in April 2014 to mark its remarkable 50th anniversary, is available for sale in selected left-hand drive Sub-Saharan Africa markets following the commencement of production at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan. Launch markets include Angola, Ghana, Madagascar, Nigeria and Senegal.

The thirteen-model line-up with sophisticated engine range, including 2.3 EcoBoost, 3.7 Ti-VCT V6, mighty 5.0 Ti-VCT V8 Exclusive Shelby GT350 Mustang with 5.2-litre flat-plane crank V8 engine – Ford’s most powerful naturally-aspirated production engine ever.

The Mustang is Ford’s most revered and recognizable nameplate, having become an automotive icon the moment it was launched in 1964, followed by more than 50 years of continuous production and over nine-million cars sold to fans around the world.
