Janet Jackson has reportedly banned people from posting videos and photos of her concerts on Instagram.

Several fans have received emails with a message saying “a third party reported that the content violates their copyright” and other social media users have had their accounts suspended, according to The Guardian newspaper.

And one fan told the New York Post newspaper: “Five emails from Instagram about the five videos I had posted. It seems like Miss Jackson’s [legal] team is on fire. What a shame they don’t understand the times we live in.”

However, the publication reported that the photo sharing app claimed people’s accounts were being deactivated due to a “bug” and was not done on purpose or for legal reasons.

A spokesperson for the company said: “We have identified a bug that resulted in the removal of accounts that shouldn’t have been removed.

“We have fixed the bug and are in the process of restoring the impacted accounts.”

The singer – who is currently on her ‘Unbreakable World Tour’ – will bring her live show to the UK in March 2016.

A representative for the singer is yet to respond to the claims.

the retirement age should be 55 as it was in the past. Every excuse the government is using is pure nonsense. But then again, please forgive my language here, does the government really give a shit what we the common wananchi think, say or feel? GET SUCH PEOPLE AWAY FROM LEADERSHIP!! Protecting the corrupt, but prosecuting simple misunderstandings. Shielding thieves of billions of shillings and murderers but demolishing the impoverished citizens’ houses. But we, the people are the fools for putting them there. It doesn’t matter whether you vote in Nairobi, Ainabkoi or Kisumu. We all voted as Kenyans and put these fools there. Look beyond the party and the personality, and see what the individual stands for. Brains and logic over nonsense ‘friendships.’ This is a country, not high school.
