Breakout pop sensation Omi will release his debut album ‘ME 4 U’ today, Friday the 16th of October. The album, which includes the #1 hit single “Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn remix)” and new hit “Hula Hoop.”
‘ME 4 U’ comes shortly after “Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix)” locked the #1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for over six weeks, tying for the longest run at #1 on the Hot 100 for a reggae song in more than 22 years.
The track is certified Platinum in South Africa, the US, Canada, The UK and in ten other territories and with “Hula Hoop” Top 5 on the iTunes Pop Chart, the Airplay Top 100 and Shazam locally this week, it is set for a similar success trajectory as we head towards to end of the year.
