A study commissioned by the paperback release of the international bestseller The Rosie Project, has found that the journey to finding “The One” is often rocky.

Researchers found that the average woman will kiss 15 men, experience two long-term relationships, fall in love twice, have seven sexual partners and have four one night stands before she meets “The One”. For men, they will have six one night stands and ten sexual partners before they meet their final partner.

Both men and women will experience being cheated on once in their dating lifetime, live with one partner and even have one long distance relationship before settling down with a partner.

The Rosie Project is a feel-good hit of 2013, a classic screwball romance about a handsome but awkward genetics professor and the woman who is totally wrong for him.
