She may have been missing in action at Vogue’s 2015 Met Gala but Lupita Nyong’o brought her A-game to the Cannes Film Festival in a beautiful, green Gucci gown.

She said on her Instagram, “It’s Grasshopper Green for Festival de Cannes opening night. Thank you Chopard, Gucci and Uganda’s women for their hair inspiration.”

The chiffon dress created beautiful movement, providing hungry photographers with incredible photo ops as she fanned her way through the red carpet.

The Oscar winning actress chose to  pair the plunging v-neck dress which was embellished with flowers around the shoulders with a magenta lip and a simple updo.
