A bizarre sleeping sickness has led men in a village in Kazakhstan to develop an uncontrollable sex drive.

The men, who have been referred to as the ‘Village of the Damned’ by local media, have been struggling to restrain their urges since developing the illness, which sees them fall asleep for days.

One woman told MailOnline: “As soon as men were were recovering after waking, they needed sex right there and then, and this feeling lasted for at least a month.”

Some women have resorted to moving their families from the risk of illness.
