According to a report published by Social Progress Index, the top 20 countries to live in based on health, prosperity, press freedom and tolerance are mostly found within North and South America.

The study, which aimed to measure the country’s true national progress, was not solely based on financial standing.

Factors such as obesity, religious tolerance, crime and education were considered to provide more holistic results in their research.

Norway topped the list with United States coming in at number 16.

Kenya came in at number 75 on the foundations of well being, trailing behind South Africa which was number 64 and above Nigera which was 100.
