Grammy award-winning musicians Sam Smith and John Legend teamed up to record a special version of Smith’s single ‘Lay Me Down’ for Comic Relief.

Recorded in Los Angeles earlier in the year, the pair will perform the special ballad on Comic Relief airing on BBC One on Friday, 13th March 2015.

The digital download of the special track was released on iTunes today. Universal says it will donate all profits from the sale of the single to Comic Relief.
