Customised James Bond cars worth Sh89 million stolen

James Bond 'Spectre' Launch Event

Nine luxury cars intended for the new James Bond film have been stolen from a garage in Germany.

The fleet of vehicles, which includes five Range Rover Sport models, are worth £630,000 and were specially customised for the eagerly-awaited new Bond film, titled ‘SPECTRE’.

Land Rover told the Daily Express newspaper: “We are aware of the theft of a number of Range Rovers in Dusseldorf, Germany. This is a criminal act and the police are carrying out a full investigation.”

The vehicles were set to feature in scenes shot in the Alps.

Details of the new Bond film were released last week at an event staged at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, South East England.

And looking forward to the new movie, Daniel Craig claimed the script for ‘SPECTRE’ is “better than we had last time”.

Daniel, 46, who’s playing James Bond for the fourth time in the new film, said he expects ‘SPECTRE’ to be superior to the 2012 hit ‘Skyfall’, which made in excess of $1.1 billion at the worldwide box office.

He said: “We’ve got an amazing cast and, I think, a better script than we had last time.”

‘SPECTRE’ will be released in cinemas worldwide on November 6, 2015.
