Metallic shades are a must for the shimmering makeup trend

Gold tones are huge this season. Everything from rose gold, yellow gold and deeper antique gold, are hot hues for summer. Bronze, copper, gunmetal, silver and coloured metallic shades such as deep greens, bright blues and dazzling purples also get the thumbs up.

Working the shimmering trend on your face

For skin, products fortified with iridescent particles will give your skin a dash of radiance, minimising imperfections and fine lines. A dash of bronzer on the cheeks, at the temples and lightly swept over the chin will give you a sunkissed look.

Rock the look on your eyes too

Think shimmering metallic eyeshadow in neutral shades swept over your lids for day or coloured metallic shadow paired with dark eyeliner and lashings of mascara for night. Try adding a highlighter on the brow bone and inner corner of your eyes to make them look even bigger.

Giving your lips and nails a touch of shimmer

High-shine gloss is a must for pulling off this look. A touch of shimmer to the centre of your lips will help them look more volumptuous. When it comes to nails, anything goes as long as you opt for a touch of bling.
