A woman earns £10,000 (Sh1.4 million) a year from entering competitions.

Holly Smith, aged 28, from Great Yarmouth, Eastern England has a rare stomach condition and a tumour in her leg which makes working full time difficult, the Daily Star newspaper reports.

Therefore, in order to support her husband and two children, Holly enters up to 800 competitions a day.

So far, she has won holidays, home appliances and even a three year supply of toothpaste, with all prizes totalling approximately £70,000.

She said: “I have done really well out of the competitions. …

“I can enter around 100 to even 800 competitions a day. All in all I reckon I bring in £10,000 each year.”
