Apple’s first computer is to be sold for Sh43 million.

The original device, made by the late Steve Jobs and his partner Steve Wozniak, is to be auctioned later this week and is expected to fetch in over $500,000 (£300,000).

The computer – which was built in Job’s garage and features a 1Mhz processor and 4KB of memory – went on sale in 1976 for £400.

The model being auctioned was one of just 200 made and is in near-perfect condition.

Cassandra Hattan of auctioneers, Bonhams said: “It’s in the best condition of any we’ve seen, so in the last four years I would say this in the best condition of any that have sold.”
