Jamie Foxx to be transformed into Mike Tyson in new film

Jamie Foxx will portray Mike Tyson with the help of CGI.

The ‘Django Unchained’ star has been in discussions with the legendary boxer for a number of years about a biopic, which is rumoured to be titled ‘Champion’, and Tyson has now revealed special effects will be used to transform Foxx into a 20-year-old version of him, the Daily Mirror newspaper reports.

The 48-year-old boxer – who became the youngest heavyweight champion when he was just 20-years-old – claims Foxx, 46, will be transformed using the same technology that allowed Brad Pitt to change from an old man to a baby in ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’.

Tyson said: “Me and Jamie Foxx are in discussion, and we gonna do it.

“Within a year to 18 months, we’re going to do the Mike Tyson story and he’s going to portray me, and now they have this new animation, because you know Jamie’s pretty much my age so he can portray me but they have this new system.”

The controversial sportsman, who claims Martin Scorsese is attached to direct, also confessed that once the project – which will tell the story of his troubled life from the age of 20 to the present day – is completed, he will only agree to watching it alone as he thinks people in a cinema would say, “Oh you d**k”.

Foxx – who won the best actor Oscar in 2004 for his portrayal of jazz singer Ray Charles in ‘Ray’ – has reportedly asked Tyson to train him for the role.
