A woman – whose twin sister snacks on paper – admits she loves eating wax candles.

Adele Murphy from West Yorkshire in Northern England ate the candles from the top of her cake rather than the treat itself at her 50th birthday party, The Sun newspaper reports.

Her love for chewing on melted wax is said to have started when she ate firelighters as a child.

She said: “I remember watching wax melt and thinking ‘that looks yummy’. I tried some and that was it. I was hooked.

“I don’t think my parents were too bothered. It wasn’t hurting me so they let me get on with it.”
