Prison has changed and “humbled” Chris Brown

CHRIS BROWN

Chris Brown was “humbled” by his prison sentence.

The Fine China hitmaker – who was released from jail on Monday after serving 108 days for violating his probation stemming from his assault on Rihanna in 2009 – is determined to stay on the right track now and he wants to be a better person.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: “Jail was one of those things that humbled Chris and really just made him understand, point blank, that the world doesn’t revolve around him.”

The 25-year-old singer – who was sent back to jail after being thrown out of court-ordered rehab in March – has also promised his record label bosses he will do his best to stay sober and take only the medication which has been prescribed for his recently-diagnosed bipolar disorder.

The insider added: “He’s going to be taking his prescribed medication daily and do his best not to smoke or even drink.

“After being in jail, he’s proven to himself that he can in fact live without abusing those substances and wants to continue that type of sober living. He can do it. And he will because he knows it’s good for him.”

The Yeah 3x hitmaker was originally sentenced to 365 days in custody on 9 May after admitting he violated his probation by getting into a fight in Washington D.C. last year, but Judge James R. Brandlin gave him credit for the 234 days he had already spent in rehab and jail.
