Born Olushola Ajose in southeast London to Nigerian parents, his sound features bass-heavy sounds of urban London and the rhymic beats of Nigeria.  Fusing together his passion for grime, rap and afrobeat with a love for a good hook, Afrikan Boy is steadily carving out his own niche in the MC circle.  The London-based Afrikan Boy has also recently worked with ‘Paperplanes’ hitmaker M.I.A. on her latest track ‘Hussel.’

In his latest music video for “Dear Mama (Going for Gold),” the rapper goes personal.

“I saw the struggles my mum went through to feed us and ensure our happiness. This song is an acknowledgement to her hussle and my promise to be successful to honour her efforts.”

Afrikan Boy’s latest single is a collaboration with Seye, a UK/Nigerian singer.
