Last weekend, Kenyan fashion received another boost after a local young entrepreneur launched her clothing line Fiallis. The new fashion store will be representing Calvin Klein and Louis Vuitton among other international brands in Kenya. The store will be located at Nakumatt Mega along Uhuru Highway. Fiallis will be stocking men, women and kids designer wear.

Fiallis is a fashion, art and online media company owned by 22 year old Kenyan raised in the UK, Cat Achieng (Catherine Achieng). .She migrated to London, UK to live with her family. While attending her final year in high school, Cat learnt about a model casting that was seeking a few young girls. She attended the casting and got the job. This made her realise that she wanted to become a model, so she searched for a few local agencies and was luckily signed by one.

Since then she has worked in several countries mostly in UK and Japan. She has worked for brands/designers such as Issey Miyake, American Apparel, Natasha Hulse, Liz Ogumbo and for companies such as NTT Docomo, BBC, Kanekalon, Ideal Home Show UK among other companies.
