Tusker Project Fame lives shows happened this weekend to a full capacity Tusker dome as the crowd came in to catch the Live Probation and Nomination show on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

The evictions on Saturday night were very emotional for everyone involved. Contestants watched as the viewers voted to save Bior from South Sudan. The faculty chose to save Fess from Kenya and the contestants picked Jennifer from Kenya. Mishel from Kenya and the Undercover Brothers from Uganda were evicted.
On Sunday it was evident that the partnership between Joey and Dr. Mich is getting even more potent.After the review of the studio session with Musyoka the first act on stage was Patrick. Performing ‘I’m an African in New York’ by Sting. He had the crowd rocking with his silky vocals and charm. Decked out in a suit accessorized with a scarf and carved wooden walking stick to boot.
Angel from Rwanda Performed ‘Don’t You Remember’ by Adele.Bior performed Peter Andre’s ‘Mysterious Girl’. Bior’s performance was live and active. Judge Ian questioned how long Bior’s charisma will last on the show. Sitenda from Uganda performed ‘Don’t Know Why’ by Norah Jones. The song matched her sultry vocals.Her performance was the perfect mix of power and grace.Jennifer from Kenya, performed ‘Mwewe‘ by SEMA. She owned the space and performed to the best of her ability. Jennifer finished really strong and gave a good performance.
Nyambura from Kenya performed ‘Someday’ by Chris Adwar and Atemi. Her performance showed a vast improvement from her previous performance. Backed by Amos, Nyambura finished the song to a standing ovation.Kojjo sang ‘Please Don’t Make Me Cry’ by UB40. His performance was subtle, laid back and powerful. He charmed the audience with his smooth vocals and excellent runs. A truly moving performance.
Hisia from Tanzania, sang ‘Here I Stand’ by Usher. Music producer Musyoka felt that Hisia owned the song and did it well. Judge Hermes complemented Hisia on doing Tanzania proud.
Hope from Burundi sang ‘As’ by Stevie Wonder. Earlier in the week, Hope mentioned that he was excited to be singing a song by Stevie Wonder although he was not familiar with the song at first. He had the crowd grooving with his strong vocals.
Phionah the quintessential performer added dance moves to her performance. Backed by Hope, Sitenda and Daisy, Phionah truly enjoyed herself. She danced and sang her way into East Africa’s hearts.
Daisy from Uganda performed John Legend’s ‘If You’re Out There’. She gave a performance that got the audience on their feet. It was powerful, stirring and definitely made an impact on everyone in the Tusker Dome. Daisy’s potent mix of power and precision, style and gusto left the audience on their feet.
Fess from Kenya, The Duke From Rongai performed LiquidDeep’s ‘You Don’t Have To be Alone’, Fess shook his way into the audience’s hearts. Backed by Amos, Josh and Bior, the dance moves were a wonderful compliment to Fess’ stunning performance. The second standing ovation of the night.
Finally, it was Amos and Josh’s turn. Determined to exorcise the ‘Nameless Curse’ on Tusker Project Fame, the duo performed ‘Deadly’ by Nameless. Giving it a sweet rock twist, Eric Musyoka gave the song a different sound. Amos and Josh gave their best performance. They got the crowd going with their new song and received the third and largest standing ovation of the night. Dr. Mich declared the ‘Nameless Curse’ lifted.
After all was said and done, the judges put four contestants on notice. Jennifer and Fess from Kenya, Angel from Tanzania and Phiona from Rwanda will need to pull up their socks if any of them are to keep their heads above water this coming weekend.
