Kenyan superstar Wyre Da Lovechild will be singing his most popular tunes at the International Reggae Awards in Florida this weekend.

Organisers confirmed on Sunday that the award winning musician would be one of 15 performers at the Coral Springs Centre for the Arts, in Coral springs, Florida on May 4.

Others who will grace the stage on Saturday are Mr. Vegas, Half Pint, Richie Stephens and Inner Circle.

The event, which this year is dedicated to Health and Wellness, will also have performances to mark the birthday of late reggae giant Jacob “Killer” Miller.

Apart from performing, Wyre will be hoping to clinch the award for Best New Entertainer, a category he has been nominated in.

His performance and attendance will effectively see to it that the Kenyan flag is visible at the 32nd Annual International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA), where stars like Damien Marley and Snoop Lion have multiple nominations.

Wyre was recently nominated for a Channel O Award for his song “She Say Dat” featuring Jamaican musician Cecile.

The reggae awards on May 4 will be hosted by Freddie McGregor and Etana, and festivities kick off at 8pm.
