Poverty: rapper Ken Ring’s Christmas present

Kenyan-Swedish rapper Ken Ring used Christmas time to spell out the need to highlight one of the biggest issues facing development in Africa: poverty.

He uploaded it on Christmas Eve, with a message that everyone should at least share the song with one person.

Though you cannot understand what he says in Swedish, the message is clear, and it is punctuated by reggae great Lutan Fyah’s hooks where he says; “Poverty will kill we off…”

“For me, this song is an extremely important song of my career. It describes what I think today might be the most important thing to think about right now. For only together can we save our world, think about it,” said Ring of the song on YouTube.

Have you spread some love and cheer this Christmas? Poverty is the second song from Ken Ring’s latest album Acoustics.
