To celebrate its fans, this vital gold ingredient will this month host an epic bar-hopping exercise much like the Amazing Race – It’s called the 12 pubs of Xmas.

Jameson Brand Ambassador Nelson Adeka says that from noon to midnight on 12:12:12, a number of contestants will traverse twelve different pubs in Nairobi, stopping at each to have a refreshing whiskey drink.

The brand is hoping for a third successful run in the contest this year and contestants are being warned to get ready for some tough competition.

“There will be four groups of 10 people each. The winning group is the one that gets to the 11th bar first, with their Jameson passports stamped at all the visited outlets! Jameson will be at reduced prices whenever the group is at a particular establishment,” reveals Adeka, who adds that the 12th bar will host the Jameson after party.

The race kicks off at the Sohos Bar and Restaurant in Westlands, and the 12 venues with the Midas Touch are; Que Pasa, Volar, Bacchus, Mercury Junction, Galileo, Taboo, Psys Westlands, Brew Bistro, Island, Santa Fe, Sailors and Havana, and not necessarily in that order.
