Kenyan Victoria Kimani signed to Chocolate City

Kenya’s Victoria Kimani is now in the loving embrace of Nigerian music label Chocolate City, after a long search by the business outfit to tap into some local talent.

Vickie was snapped up by the hit-makers who’ve been trying for more than a year to get a Kenyan on board, as part of their expansion plans.

Chocolate City is the label responsible for Ice Prince, M.I., Jessie Jags, and Brymo, who have in turn worked hard for their money by churning out hit song after hit song after hit song.

It’s been an equally long search for the uber talented singer and songwriter Victoria, who has been eager to get a more solid output for her music.

But the search is over. The two found each other reportedly during an African music tour in the states, which Ice Prince was a part of.

Vickie is veteran rapper Bamboo’s younger sister, and one of the strongest RnB voices to come out of Kenya, even though she is based in the United States.

The 20 plus year old is working on her debut album, looking for her own shine after staying in the background for too long.

She has collaborated with artists like Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes and Casssie, among others as well as spent a lot of man-hours writing music for Konvict Music.

Her signing comes as Chocolate City are planning a physical presence in the country, most like by early next year.

Two Kenyans who have been tied to the outfit in the past are radio presenter Angela Angwenyi and Rukia Njoki.
