Crème of Nature and Capital FM have teamed up with the biggest fashion organization in Kenya, to bring you “FAFA Fashion For Peace” Gala night. This glamorous event will take place in Nairobi on the 17th of November 2012, under the stars, at the Silver Ring mega-dome in Ngong Racecourse.
FAFA brings you an eclectic mix of established and emerging African fashion houses while maintaining its reputation as one of the most exciting events fashionistas have seen on Kenyan soil.

DESIGNER PROFILE: KikoRomeo (Ann McCreath)
Ann studied fashion in Rome and has worked as a designer in Barcelona. She took a 3-month break to do aid work in Kenya, found it fascinating and stayed on for 3 years, before deciding to go back to her profession and do trade instead of aid.
KikoRomeo (Swahili for Adam’s apple) fashion house was born in 1996 with the aim of job creation in rural areas. Ann’s dream was that Kenyans would take pride in African-inspired contemporary fashion, and promote their economy through buying locally made fashion. Ann set about making ethically sound products with inputs from community artisans and women’s groups, which she retailed through her own shop. Since then KikoRomeo has continued to offer ready-made garments, cut to international fashion trends, using African made fabrics, often with handcrafted details.
